YOUR WELLBEING COMMITMENT STARTS HERE!

I’ve been inspired to write this wellbeing series after winning the “Wellness Warrior of the Year” title in the Spa & Wellness Awards recently.

My own life learnings as a hard-working business owner combined with the insights I’ve had through our customers at iKOU over the last 15 years has given me a solid foundation of knowledge to share.

I truly believe that wellbeing is a journey, and that starting with the microsteps of simple, consistent actions starts us on a path to generate increased energy and this becomes the catalyst for more.

With each new step the picture of your wellness grows.

So don’t wait for the perfect time to start.

Just start now.

Are you ready to commit to your wellbeing this year?

Ask yourself..

Do I even know what it feels like to truly feel a sense of wellbeing?

No matter what our dreams or goals for life, we never fully live to our optimum potential without including a commitment to activations that boost our health and happiness- utilising the tools for wellness of mind and body.

So many of us live in such a constant state of “busyness” we don’t even realise we aren’t functioning optimally.

If you are keen to have more energy and zest for life I invite you to take a moment to ask yourself these questions..

Am I giving my “self” what I deserve?

Am I ready to make a commitment to my own wellbeing?

Our routines and consistent daily patterns all add up to contribute to being the best version of ourselves.

Wellbeing is a journey, not a destination- what wellness looks and feels like for each of us is also personal.

No matter what our individual circumstances though, we all hold one thing in common- our health and happiness is enhanced when our wellbeing is made a priority.

Over the next 4 chapters in this series, I will be sharing life and wellness tools that you can choose from to commit to incorporating in your daily life as tools to elevate your wellbeing journey.

At the end of the series, I’ll guide you through a checklist you can choose from to customise your own routines to include the things you have chosen to commit to for your wellbeing.

Are you excited?

Here's where to start this week:

ANALYSE WHERE YOU ARE NOW & JOURNAL IT:

The first place to start with any change, is to take stock of where you are now.

I invite you to spend just 5 minutes on this exercise today.

Close your eyes.
Take a deep breath right down to your belly.
Exhale..
Honestly and without judgement analyse your current life patterns.
You don’t need to explain why or give an excuse.
Just be honest with yourself and practice kindness in any feelings your answers bring up.
Ask yourself:

  • How am I feeling consistently- stressed or relaxed?
  • Do I feel consider my health into the choices of the food I eat each day?
  • Do I have a consistent pattern of exercise?
  • Do I have a goal for the hours of sleep I get each night, and the time I go to bed?
  • How frequently do I rely on caffeine, sugar or alcohol to change the way I feel?
  • Do I deny myself the self-love I crave because I feel like it’s a luxury or I don’t deserve it?
WRITE IT DOWN. YOU DON’T NEED THE ANSWERS AT THIS STAGE- JUST YOUR OBSERVATIONS.

NOW, LET'S EVALUATE WHAT OPTIMAL WELLNESS WOULD LOOK LIKE:

Close your eyes again.
Take a deep breath right down to your belly.
Exhale..
Smile as you breath slowly in and out.
Now think about how you would feel if you were in flow with your version of optimal “Wellness” personally.

  • How would you wake up feeling each day?
  • How would you respond to challenges in life?
  • How would your stress levels feel?
  • How would your energy feel?
  • What would your self-talk sound like?

WRITE DOWN HOW YOU WOULD LIKE THE PICTURE OF YOUR WELLNESS TO BE.

That’s all you need to do today!

Follow on for our next instalment- we’ll be sharing 5 articles in this series.

Enjoy!
